Traditional Handpoke Technique
Also known as Stick and Poke, hand-poked tattoos are created using a needle (like a traditional tattoo machine), but without electricity or a machine. This technique of pigment insertion is reminiscent of traditional tattooing. Hand poke tattoos offer a unique look and are available in various styles, such as mandalas, dotwork, Polynesian, and sketchy. In general, Stick and Poke tattoos may be less painful than machine tattoos. However, the process takes longer, so longer sessions are needed for larger pieces. Often, healing is quicker compared to machine tattoos, as the skin is less traumatized.
Hand poke allows you to experience a different way of being tattooed, with a look that is incomparable to that of a machine. Why not try this technique with a small project?
